Garden State Plaza J.Jill

I go to the J.Jill in Garden State Plaza, Paramus, NJ. Lark is always so very helpful and so are the other employees. She will tell me honestly how something looks on me. I love their clothes and the majority of my wardrobe is from there. I do buy when on sale.

This review is for the J Jill at…

This review is for the J Jill at Bridgeport Village in Tigard, Oregon. They advertised a "teacher appreciation" last Friday Sept 2 from 12-8. They said they would have refreshments and a raffle for prizes. I went there. Well the "refreshments" were water and an apple and a small bag of popcorn. The woman had me fill out a raffle ticket and then took it, I assume to throw away. To receive another raffle ticket, I'd have to make a purchase. What a lousy way to honor teachers just to drum up business. If you advertise appreciation, then appreciate by having real refreshments and don't make people have to make a purchase to get a raffle ticket for prizes that may or may not exist. Bad business practice in my opinion. This was the worst "appreciation" I ever had.

Love Jjill quality!

I love Jjill! Quality of fabric and design. Service is great and the personnel at the stores are awesomely kind and respectful. Again, I love Jjill.

BUYER BEWARE!!

BUYER BEWARE!!J Jill used to be my go to for wardrobe. Their products now are garbage. Couldn’t use one piece in my last order. I returned everything. Did not receive a bill for the $8.95 shipping that was the balance on my acct. today I get an email that my acct is past due and the bill is now 40.95. Getting through to a person was nearly impossible and totally aggravating. After much discussion with someone I could hardly understand. The $30 late fee was waived but believe it or not they charged me $2 for a finance charge plus the $8.95. Besides their poor materials their customer service is also trash! Closed my acct and cut up card.. STAY AWAY!

DO NOT OPEN A CREDIT CARD WITH THIS COMPANY.
Both credit card and customer service is horrible! You cannot reach reach anyone on the phone. No matter what time you call, there is an automated message saying the wait time is very long and to go online to resolve problem. How about taking our phone number and calling the customer back?

Store manager openly abusing position, witnessed by 3rd parties

Store manager Pam/Pamela Cantrell at the Coralville, Iowa store has been repeatedly aggressive, abusive, and hostile to a customer [who has never had any outstanding balance, who has never had any incident of disrepair at any store, and who has legitimate business with J Jill].

The last time Pam/Pamela was witnessed in hostile behavior to the customer, it was also witnessed by two non-customers [themselves seasoned service professionals]. And with no prompting or background filled-in, they commented to the customer they noticed the Store Manager's appalling behavior.

Repeated misbehavior by Store Manager Pam/Pamela has been reported to the J Jill Customer Service number (a Supervisor) who expressed they could do nothing, as they have no authority over the stores -- and it appears the Store Manager knows this. Matters escalated with Pam/Pamela vengefully going above this Customer Service Supervisor, to that Supervisor's boss, and maliciously having the customer account blocked on false pretense. What's telling is this was immediately upon Pam/Pamela having been informed the Customer Service Supervisor had approved a pending transaction for the customer -- Pamela/Pam willfully usurped this Supervisor, a higher-rank colleague, to harm the customer.

At this point, it is imperative that Bridget Hartford, who at last telling is in charge of J Jill Customer Service (or a superior to Bridget), remove all blocks to the account and manage the rogue, walking liability for J Jill named Pamela Cantrell. I am the harassed customer. [And yes, the non-customers who witnessed Pam/Pamela in shocking behavior informed me of their connection to local lawyers]. I am glad to share the names of 3rd party witnesses and the name of the Customer Service Supervisor after this.

They overcharge you—coming and going—even if when their clothes don't fit

I bought two tops online from J.Jill.co. They charged me for delivery. Neither fit. Unpredictable because their clothes are often oversized, although sometimes tight fitting. I had to return both, one too big, one too small. When I called to arrange return, they wouldn't bend on their shipping return fee, even though the size problem was their fault, not mine. So I ended up being charged almost $20 for clothes I couldn't wear and had to return

Not at all helpful or empathetic

Very upset that Amy M. did not expedite a new delivery of some dresses that were to arrive. She erroneously calculated the date as 6 business days, when in fact it was beyond that. I had wanted them for a special occasion, and now will need to scramble. they arrived in my location on the 11th of June, and I contacted you all on the 18th of June. Acceptance of the package was "pending" at that time (and still is). She could have offered to expedite a new package of the dresses I had ordered.

This was a very poor experience.

95% of my wardrobe is J Jill

95% of my wardrobe is J Jill. Unlike other reviewers, if there is ever a problem Customer Service ALWAYS resolves it to my satisfaction. Most of the clothes are of exceptional quality, the sizing is usually perfect - very often the pictures don't do the garment justice. You can ask any question prior to buying and usually get a reply within a day. Most of the descriptions give very detailed measurements too. My ONLY complaint is that I am fairly tall and the closest store does not carry Tall sizes...so I usually order online. Shipping is usually free if you order enough and the sales are pretty fantastic.

A:

Past 90 days, probably not. But some store managers will accept worn or washed merch if it's within 90 days and there's clearly a quality issue.
